Frequently Asked Questions

RETIREMENT PLANNING IN TODAY’S ECONOMY

We’d love to have you join us as a Retirement & Tax Planning in Today’s Economy attendee too, but we understand you may have a few questions before registering for an upcoming workshop. Here are some common questions your peers have had that might be helpful to you as well.

what will I learn?

How to retire with more than a stack of statements and a diversified pie chart! Together, we will evaluate challenges and opportunities retirees and pre-retirees face today and over the course of retirement. Please see workshop descriptions for more.

Who are these workshops for?

Each workshop will have material catered to various situations, but in general, our workshops are intended for pre-retirees aged 50-70 who are in or near retirement.

Where are these workshops held?

Workshops are taught at a local college or university classroom or at a local library in the Tampa Bay area. The venue will vary depending on your location and time of the year.

What is the commitment if I register for a workshop?

A commitment of time and attendance! Workshops can quickly fill up, leaving hopeful attendees on a waitlist, so we ask that registrants let us know as soon as possible should a schedule conflict arise.

Who presents the workshop?

The workshop will be presented by a local, independent fiduciary advisor who will be providing accurate and up to date information. Each workshop will provide general, unbiased information to you the attendee. At the conclusion of each workshop, you the attendee may request to speak with the presenter in a private setting if you so choose.

How long do the workshops last?

Most workshops will typically last 2 hours as a 1-day session. There are more in-depth courses available throughout the year that consist of 2-hour sessions over 2 consecutive Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Is anything for sale?

No, there is nothing to be bought. This is purely an informational course. These workshops are not insurance dinner seminars!
